Age Limit Criteria (As on 01/08/2026)

  • Minimum Age : 18 Years (Primary Teacher)
  • Minimum Age : 21 Years (TGT/PGT Teacher)
  • Maximum Age : 37 Years (Male Candidates)
  • Maximum Age : 40 Years (Female Candidates)
  • Maximum Age : 42 Years (SC / ST Male & Female)
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per BPSC TRE 4.0 Recruitment 2026 rules.

Eligibility & Educational Qualification

Teacher Level Educational & Professional Qualification
Primary Teacher
(Class 1st to 5th)
  • Higher Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed).
  • Passed CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I.
Middle School Teacher
(Class 6th to 8th)
  • Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation/PG with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Passed CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II.
Secondary Teacher TGT
(Class 9th & 10th)
  • Graduation or Post-Graduation in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Passed STET Paper-I.
Higher Secondary PGT
(Class 11th & 12th)
  • Master's degree (Post-Graduation) in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
  • For Computer Science, a B.Ed. is not compulsory (qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in CS apply).
  • Passed STET Paper-II.
