Eligibility Criteria :

Eligibility criteria for the BPSC 70th Combined CCE/CDPO Examination 2024 include age, educational qualifications, and nationality requirements. Understanding these criteria is crucial before applying.

 

A.  Nationality:
·         The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
 
B.  Age Limit:
·         The minimum age limit is 20-22 years, depending on the post.
·         The maximum age limit varies by category:
·         General (Male): 37 years
·         General (Female) and OBC (Male/Female): 40 years
·         SC/ST (Male/Female): 42 years
·         Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules.
 
C.  Educational Qualifications:
·       Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Specific qualifications may be required for certain posts.

 
Exam Pattern :

The BPSC 70th Combined CCE/CDPO Examination is conducted in three stages:

A. Preliminary Examination:
·       This is an objective-type exam with multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
·       Total Marks: 150
·       Duration: 2 hours
·       The exam includes General Studies, focusing on current events, history, geography, polity, economics, and general science.
·       There is no negative marking in the preliminary exam.
 

B. Mains Examination:

·       The Mains exam consists of four papers: General Hindi, General Studies Paper 1, General Studies Paper 2, and an Optional Subject.
·       General Hindi is qualifying in nature and requires at least 30 marks to pass.
·       General Studies Papers carry 300 marks each, while the Optional Subject also carries 300 marks.
·       Each paper is of 3 hours duration.
 
C. Interview:
·       The interview carries 120 marks.
·       It assesses the personality, communication skills, and overall suitability of the candidate for the administrative role.

 
Syllabus for BPSC 70th Combined CCE/CDPO Examination 2024

The syllabus for the BPSC Preliminary exam is designed to test the general awareness, analytical skills, and knowledge of candidates in various subjects. Below is a detailed overview of the syllabus:

A. Preliminary Examination Syllabus:

1.   General Studies:

·        Current Affairs: National and International events, awards, sports, books, and authors.
·        History of India and Bihar: Major movements, Indian freedom struggle, history of Bihar, and its contribution to the national movement.
·        Geography: Physical geography, resources, population, and economic geography of India and Bihar.
·       Indian Polity and Economy: Indian Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, and community development.
·       General Science: Basic principles of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and their applications.
·       Environment and Ecology: Environmental issues, conservation, biodiversity, and climate change.
·       General Mental Ability: Logical reasoning, analytical ability, and basic numeracy.

B. Mains Examination Syllabus:

1.   General Hindi:
·         Essay, grammar, sentence correction, and comprehension.
 
2.   General Studies Paper 1:
·         Modern Indian History, Freedom Struggle, Bihar’s role, and major movements.
·         Current events of national and international importance.
·         Statistical analysis, graphs, and diagrams interpretation.
 
3.   General Studies Paper 2:
·         Indian Polity, Governance, and the role of Bihar in Indian politics.
·         Indian Economy, development, and planning with a focus on Bihar’s economy.
·         Role of science and technology in the development of India and Bihar. 

4.   Optional Subject:

·        Candidates can choose from a wide range of subjects such as History, Sociology, Public Administration, Geography, Political Science, and more.

 
One Time Registration (OTR) Process

              i.       Candidate should first go to the BPSC Official website https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in and click on the “One Time Registration” button.

            ii.        Fill in the relevant information and click on the “Submit” button.

          iii.        After which User Name and Password will show on the Screen, which can also be seen on the registered mobile no.

 
Application Process

The application process for the BPSC 70th Combined CCE/CDPO Examination 2024 involves online registration on the official BPSC website. Here are the steps:

              i.         Registration : After completing the One Time Registration process, candidates will login to the Home Page of https://onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in  using the User Name and Password received on the Registered Mobile No.

            ii.         Filling Application Form: Log in using the registration ID and password, fill in the application form with personal, educational, and communication details.

          iii.         Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of photographs, signature, and other required documents as per the guidelines.

           iv.         Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee through online modes like debit/ credit cards, net banking, or UPI.

             v.         Submission and Print: Review all details before submitting the form. Take a printout of the application for future reference.
