Short Information
Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has released the notification for Scholarship 2024 – 2025 in the state. Applicants can apply online from 01 July 2024 till the last date.

UP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2024

Category & Class

Eligibility Criteria
Pre-matric Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship applies to students of Class 9 and 10 who belong to the SC/ST/General category. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
Post matric Intermediate Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship applies to students of the SC/ST/General category who are studying in Class 11 and 12. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 (for General candidates) and ₹2,50,000 (for SC/ST candidates) from all sources.
 
Post matric (Other than Intermediate) Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship is applicable for students of SC/ST/General category who are studying at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level.The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 (for General candidates) and ₹2,50,000 (for SC/ST candidates) from all sources.

Post-matric Other State Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship is applicable for students of SC/ST/General category who are studying in class 11th or above. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 (for General candidates) and ₹2,50,000 (for SC/ST candidates) from all sources.
Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship is applicable for minority community students who are studying in class 9th or 10th. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹1,00,000 from all sources.

Post matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship for Minorities, Uttar Pradesh
The scholarship is applicable for minority community students who are studying at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
Post-matric Intermediate Scholarship for Minorities, Uttar Pradesh
The minority community students studying in Class 11 and 12 can apply for the scholarship. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
 
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Uttar Pradesh
The OBC category students studying in Class 9 and 10 can apply for this scholarship. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
Post matric Intermediate Scholarship for OBC Students, Uttar Pradesh
The OBC category students studying in Class 11 and 12 can apply for this scholarship. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
 
Post matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship for OBC, Uttar Pradesh
The students of the OBC category studying at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level can apply for the scholarship. The annual income of the family should not be more than ₹2,00,000 from all sources.

Application Process :

If you are studying in Uttar Pradesh and want to apply for scholarship this year, then you can register by following the following procedures, let us tell you that there are 2 ways to apply for UP Scholarship, first Fresh Candidates and second Renewal Candidates. Detailed information about both the processes is given below:

If you are studying in the state of Uttar Pradesh, and applying for scholarship for the first time, then you can easily register yourself by following the following steps:

  1. First of all visit the official website of UP Scholarship - https://scholarship.up.gov.in/.
  2. Now you will see Student Section in the menu bar on the homepage, click on it.
  3. Now a dropdown menu will open in front of you, from this you click on the option of Registration.
  4. After this the Student Registration page will open in front of you.
  5. On this new page you can do Scholarship Registration for your class according to your caste category.
  6. After clicking on the option of your choice, the Registration Form will open in front of you. Here you will have to enter district, educational institution, caste or group, religion, name of the student, father and mother, date of birth, year of passing high school, high school roll number, name of school or institution, mobile number, e-mail ID and a password.
  7. After entering all the above details, click on the Submit option given below.
  8. Now your registration will be completed and the registration receipt will open in front of you.

Login Process :

After completion of the registration process, if you want to apply, you will have to log in, for this you will have to follow the following steps:

  1. First of all go to the official website, here you click on the Students option in the menu bar.
  2. Now a dropdown menu will open, where you will see the option of Fresh Login and Renewal Login, in such a situation, if you have just registered, then you select the option of Fresh Login, apart from this, if you have registered in the previous session, and you want to apply for the second year scholarship, then you click on the option of Renewal Login.
  3. After this, choose the type of your course and click on it.
  4. Now the Login Page will open in front of you.
  5. Now enter the registration number, date of birth and captcha code on this page.
  6. After this click on the submit button given below.
